Veroli

Located at an elevation of 594 meters, Veroli stretches across hills with ancient stone buildings, medieval structures, and narrow streets leading to the town center.

The settlement transformed from an Ernici foundation into a Roman municipium in 90 BC, later becoming a significant religious center with the establishment of its bishopric in 743 AD.

The Cathedral Treasury maintains a collection of medieval artifacts, including the breviary of St. Louis of Toulouse and numerous religious reliquaries from different periods.

Visitors can reach Veroli through regular bus connections from Frosinone railway station, with services running multiple times during weekdays and weekends.

The Fasti Verulani, an ancient Roman calendar carved in marble, documents the official holidays and celebrations of the early Roman Empire period.
