Madesimo, Ski resort in Lombardy, Italy
Madesimo stands at 1399 meters above sea level in the Province of Sondrio, featuring 32 ski slopes across 55 kilometers of marked trails.
The municipality changed its name from Isolato to Madesimo in 1983, marking a new chapter in the development of this mountain settlement.
The central avenue bears the name of Italian poet Giosuè Carducci, who selected this mountain location as a source for his literary creations.
The winter sports season extends from late November to early April, with 12 lifts serving multiple slopes for different skill levels.
The Canalone slope presents a natural corridor through the mountains, establishing itself as one of the most technical descents in the Alps.
