Bussolengo

Bussolengo is a small town in the Province of Verona that stretches along the Adige River and sits amid fertile countryside. The center maintains a rural feel with traditional buildings, while modern areas have gradually spread around it.

The region shows traces of Bronze Age settlement with artifacts more than 3,500 years old discovered here. During Roman times, an important settlement developed, leaving behind stone remains that archaeologists still find today.

The Chiesa di San Valentino displays frescoes depicting stories of Saint Valentine that have drawn worshippers for centuries. The town preserves this religious tradition today and welcomes visitors to discover the artistic details within.

The town sits about 12 kilometers east of Verona and connects easily via main roads to larger neighboring cities. The flat terrain and clear road layout make navigating and exploring straightforward.

Over time, the town became a center for peach growing and earned the name Land of Peaches because of its abundant orchards. This agricultural focus shaped the local economy for generations.
