Villa Saraceno, Renaissance villa in Agugliaro, Italy.

Villa Saraceno is a three-story manor house in Agugliaro featuring a symmetrical facade with arched windows, stone decorations, and a central triangular pediment above the entrance. The structure combines classical architectural proportions with a practical interior layout designed for residential and agricultural purposes.

The building was constructed in 1545 under architect Andrea Palladio's design and served the Saraceno family as both residence and agricultural center. Today it is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognizing the importance of Palladian architecture in the Veneto region.

The interior features preserved frescoes depicting wealth and prosperity, reflecting how Renaissance nobility expressed their status through artistic decoration of their living spaces. These images reveal the importance of displaying power and refinement to visitors and family members.

The estate is managed by the Landmark Trust and accommodates sixteen guests, with certain rooms accessible to visitors during scheduled periods throughout the year. Visitors should plan ahead and check which areas are available, as opening times are limited to specific seasons.

The top floor contains a granary, demonstrating how agriculture and classical architecture were harmoniously integrated into one structure. This combination was practical, allowing the family to store agricultural products while living in refined spaces above.
