Villa Dal Verme, Renaissance villa in Agugliaro, Italy

Villa Dal Verme is a 15th-century residence in Agugliaro with a symmetrical front and a covered entry supported by segmental arches. The building overlooks the Liona canal and features carefully crafted stone windows and decorative doors throughout its exterior.

The Dal Verme family from Verona built this residence in the early 1400s during a period of shifting regional power. The villa survived later conflicts between Venice and Milan that caused many properties in the area to change hands.

The building's design reflects the influence of artisans from different regions, visible in how the stone windows and decorative doors were crafted. This blend of styles shows the movement of skilled workers and ideas across northern Italy during that era.

The residence is located in Vicenza Province in the Veneto region and is best viewed during daylight when the stone facade and details are clearly visible. The canal provides a quiet vantage point from which to observe the building's architecture.

The terracotta doors were crafted by artisans from Lombardy, representing cross-regional trade in architectural craftsmanship. This material and the specialized techniques were not native to the local area and reveal the family's economic connections to other parts of Italy.
