Nicolosi

Nicolosi is a commune in the Metropolitan City of Catania in Sicily, situated on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. The town spreads across rolling lava landscapes and offers views toward surrounding farmland and the distant coast.

The settlement developed during medieval times as a community below the volcano. Fertile volcanic soil shaped agricultural development across the region for centuries.
