Elferkofel, Mountain summit in Sexten Dolomites, South Tyrol, Italy.
The Elferkofel mountain rises to an elevation of 3,092 meters, featuring two distinct peaks with the South Summit dominating the Val Fiscalina landscape.
Michel Innerkofler completed the first documented ascent of Elferkofel in 1878, establishing the initial climbing route to reach its summit.
The mountain name Cima Undici translates to Eleventh Peak in Italian, forming part of a numbered sequence of summits in the Sexten Dolomites range.
Multiple routes lead to both the North Summit at 3,068 meters and South Summit at 3,092 meters, with the Refuge Zsigmondy-Comici providing accommodation.
During World War I, the mountain served as a strategic position where soldiers known as Mascabroni conducted high-altitude operations along its ridges.
