Casa di Goldoni occupies a Gothic palace with a quadruple-mullioned window, terracotta floors, and traditional Venetian architectural elements from the fifteenth century.
The building served as the birthplace of playwright Carlo Goldoni in 1707 and became a municipal museum in 1931 after restoration efforts.
The museum maintains a specialized library containing over 30,000 texts dedicated to theatrical studies and Italian dramatic traditions.
The museum opens Thursday through Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00, offering wheelchair access and informative panels about Venetian theater history.
Inside the museum, visitors can examine a detailed reconstruction of the Teatro Grimani ai Servi, complete with eighteenth-century puppet collections.
