Palazzi Mocenigo, Museum of textiles and perfume in San Marco, Venice, Italy
The Mocenigo Palace features twenty rooms displaying historical costumes, ancient fabrics, and a collection dedicated to the art of perfumery.
The palace, constructed in the 16th century and expanded in the 17th century, belonged to the Mocenigo family who produced seven doges of Venice.
The museum exhibits Venetian textiles, Murano glassware, Burano embroidery, and a laboratory showing traditional perfume-making methods of the region.
Located near Ca' Rezzonico, the palace opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM with extended summer hours on weekends.
The museum contains glass jars filled with essential fragrance ingredients and a map illustrating ancient perfume trade routes between Venice and the Orient.
