San Biagio Maggiore, Secularized church in historic Naples, Italy.

The church stands at the intersection of Via San Biagio dei Librai and Via San Gregorio Armeno, featuring a Neapolitan Baroque architectural style.

Cardinal Francesco Boncompagni established the church in 1631 by merging an existing chapel of Saint Blaise with the sacristy of San Gennaro.

Armenian monks brought the relics of Saint Blaise to Naples, leading to increased local devotion and the establishment of this religious structure.

The Giambattista Vico Foundation manages the building, which reopened in 2007 following extensive renovations to serve as their headquarters.

The church contains the ashes of Marco Aurelio Severino, a 17th-century Calabrian physician who assisted plague victims in Naples.
