Santa Maria Stella del Mare, Gothic Revival church in Historic Center, Naples, Italy
The Santa Maria Stella del Mare church displays a diamond-tipped bell tower with small single-lancet windows on each side and larger double-lancet windows below.
The current structure, completed in 1907, replaced an earlier building that housed the iron sellers congregation established in 1561 near Vico Vacca.
The edifice served as headquarters for the Royal Archconfraternity of Santa Maria Stella Maris and San Biagio dei Caciolii, as inscribed on its portal.
The church building remains closed to worship and functions as a storage facility, with supporting elements installed to prevent collapse of its lateral section.
The structure incorporates elements from multiple historical congregations, including iron sellers, tavern keepers, and cheese merchants who operated in the area.
