Lago di Levico

Lago di Levico is an alpine lake located in the town of Levico Terme in northern Italy. The water stretches across a long valley floor and is surrounded by forested slopes that rise sharply on both sides.

During the 1800s, the thermal springs near the lake were recognized for their healing properties and drew visitors seeking health treatments. This discovery transformed Levico Terme into a wellness destination in the Trentino region.

The lake serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors experience the natural surroundings together. The communities around its shores have long depended on the waters for daily life and recreation.

The lake has two equipped beach areas where visitors can swim and enjoy water activities, best visited from June through September. Walking trails along the shore make it easy to explore different parts of the water and access points.

The lake has an unusually elongated shape with steep wooded banks that give it a fjord-like appearance. This distinctive form sets it apart from other water bodies found across southern Europe.
