Albucciu nuragic complex

The Albucciu complex features a protonuraghe built with granite blocks, incorporating a rectangular layout with an east-facing entrance and multiple internal chambers.

Dating from the 15th century BC, this protonuraghe structure served as a precursor to later nuraghe designs, demonstrating early architectural methods of the Middle Bronze Age.

The site contains artifacts including votive swords, bronze items, and a ceremonial figurine, indicating the complex social and religious practices of Nuragic civilization.

Located 2.5 kilometers from Arzachena village, the complex received 8,734 visitors in 2021 and provides wheelchair access throughout the archaeological area.

The structure integrates natural granite formations into its walls, featuring a dual-level design with a wooden loft and specialized areas for food processing.
