Monte Corvo

Monte Corvo is a mountain summit in the Province of Teramo featuring two distinct peaks connected by a horizontal ridge. The eastern summit reaches 2,623 meters in elevation while the western peak stands at 2,533 meters, creating a distinctive two-part structure along the Apennine range.

The mountain forms part of the ancient Apennine chain and serves as a natural boundary in the region. It separates Valle Chiarino to the south from Valle Venacquaro to the east, marking important geographic divisions in this mountainous landscape.

The name comes from ravens that regularly inhabit this area, reflecting how local wildlife shapes the way people connect with the mountain. You can still observe various bird species when hiking through the slopes and ridges.

The mountain is accessible from two main routes: from the west via Diga della Provvidenza or from the north through Prato Selva. Each path offers different views and approaches to reaching the connected twin peaks.
