Monte Corvo, Mountain summit in Province of Teramo, Italy
Monte Corvo rises to 2,623 meters in elevation, featuring an eastern summit connected to a western peak at 2,533 meters through a horizontal ridge.
The mountain stands as part of the ancient Apennine chain, forming natural boundaries between Valle Chiarino to the south and Valle Venacquaro to the east.
The name Monte Corvo derives from the regular presence of ravens in the area, reflecting the local fauna that has influenced regional natural heritage.
Access to the mountain is possible through two primary routes: from the west via Diga della Provvidenza and from the north through Prato Selva.
Monte Corvo ranks nineteenth among 18,682 peaks in the Apennines and fifth out of 1,148 summits in the L'Aquila province by elevation.
