Nuraghe Seruci, Bronze Age archaeological site in Gonnesa, Italy

Nuraghe Seruci is a stone fortress with a central tower surrounded by five secondary towers built from large stone blocks on a hilltop. The complex layout with residential areas and connected structures spreads across the entire site.

This structure was built during the Nuragic civilization and occupied between 1900 and 730 BCE as a strategic settlement. It overlooked the surrounding Mediterranean region and played an important role in defense and trade of that period.

The settlement around this structure contains residential areas with circular stone huts linked by narrow pathways. This layout reveals how people organized their daily lives and social spaces during that era.

The site sits on a hillside and requires comfortable shoes and time to explore the different areas. Visitors should bring water and sun protection, as there is little shade available.

Near the main complex stand three giants' tombs that show how earlier inhabitants buried their dead. These separate structures reveal much about the religious practices and burial rituals of that time.
