Chiusi National Archaeological Museum, Archaeological museum in Chiusi, Italy

The museum exhibits a comprehensive collection of artifacts arranged chronologically across two floors in a neoclassical building dating from 1901.

The museum, established in 1871, houses numerous artifacts from Etruscan civilization, including items discovered during systematic excavations throughout the 19th century.

The collection features canopic jars, painted urns, black-and-red-figure Attic ceramics depicting Greek mythology scenes, and marble sculptures from various ancient periods.

The museum provides guided tours to Etruscan tombs located outside city walls, with the admission price including both museum entry and tomb visits.

The Dolciano canopic jar, displayed on an ornate bronze throne, represents one of the most significant Etruscan funerary artifacts in the collection.
