Rome Italy Temple, Mormon temple in Via di Settebagni, Rome, Italy.
The temple in Rome is a religious building constructed in baroque revival style, located on spacious grounds in the Via di Settebagni area. The structure features floor-to-ceiling stained glass walls and two end spires that rise from its corners.
The project was announced in 2008 and began construction with groundbreaking ceremonies in 2010. Official dedication took place in March 2019.
The temple displays baroque revival design mixed with Italian architectural features, and visitors can see murals throughout the interior that depict local landscapes and religious themes.
The grounds offer expansive green spaces and plenty of room to walk around, with the location situated near the city center. The area is easy to reach and provides adequate parking for visitors.
When the building was dedicated in 2019, all fifteen church apostles gathered outside the United States for the first time. This gathering showed the significance the institution places on its European presence.
