Chiesa di San Domenico is a medieval church in Cagli built with stone walls and traditional architectural elements from the 13th century. It stands in the central area of the town and represents the religious architecture typical of that period.

The Celestines built the church after Cagli was relocated in 1289, first dedicating it to St John the Baptist. The Renaissance portal on the facade is dated 1483, while the bell tower was added in 1654 and the apse in 1655. In 1576 a layer of plaster concealed the medieval fresco decoration, a fragment of which reappears beside the third altar.

The church keeps the wooden statue of the Madonna del Rosario in a niche of the third altar on the left, and the tomb slab of Father Michele Arcangelo Nanni da Cagli, who died in the 17th century, lies in the crypt. The Cappella Tiranni, commissioned by Pietro Tiranni from Giovanni Santi, was called by Pungileoni Santi's "capo lavoro".

The church is located in downtown Cagli and can be reached through its main entrance facing the public square. Visitors will find it easily in the central area where it stands among other local buildings.

Under the plaster near the third altar on the left, a fragment of the church's medieval fresco decoration reappears, hidden in 1576 when the walls were coated. The crypt, reached by a stair beside the Tiranni Chapel, holds frescoes of the Circumcision, Nativity, Visitation and Annunciation attributed to Antonio Viviani (1560-1629).
