Abbazia di San Vincenzo

Abbazia di San Vincenzo is a Benedictine monastery near Furlo Gorge in the Marche region. The building displays Romanesque features with a plain stone facade and sturdy structural elements throughout the complex.

Construction of this Benedictine abbey began in the 10th century on the foundations of a Roman temple from the ancient municipality of Pitinum Mergens. A major fire in the 13th century damaged the structure significantly and prompted its reconstruction.
