Chiesa di San Nicolò Regale

San Nicolò Regale is a church with a square floor plan in Mazara del Vallo. The interior is supported by four central columns and topped by a large dome resting on a low, wide drum, with three apses at the rear.

The church was built in 1124 during the Norman period, when multiple powers shaped Sicily's architectural language. Later centuries brought changes, but restoration work in 1947 returned it to its medieval appearance.
