Santa Maria, Religious sanctuary in Morinesio, Stroppo, Italy
The Santa Maria sanctuary stands at 1400 meters elevation in Valle Maira, featuring stone portals and round columns supporting extended roof structures.
Originally constructed as a small chapel in the 14th century, the sanctuary received official recognition in 1511 and underwent major expansion during the 1700s.
The interior dome displays detailed frescoes by Francesco Agnesotti of Sampeyre, representing regional religious artistic traditions of Piedmont.
