Castello di Oria, Medieval castle in Oria, Italy.

The castle stands on top of three hills with a triangular layout, featuring multiple towers and robust stone walls overlooking the Apulian plains.

Frederick II of Hohenstaufen constructed the castle between 1225 and 1233 upon Norman foundations, incorporating it into his network of defensive structures.

The castle museum exhibits medieval artifacts and hosts traditional celebrations, including the August Corteo Storico festival celebrating Frederick II's historical visit.

The castle interior opens for guided tours during special events, with access from Piazza Manfredi through the historic center's pedestrian zones.

The structure follows an isosceles triangle design with defensive towers added across different periods, demonstrating evolution in military architecture.
