Castello di Pieve del Vescovo, Medieval fortress in Corciano, Italy.
The fortress features four corner towers, fortified walls forming a quadrilateral shape, and stands on a hill overlooking the Caina Valley.
In 1396, the structure transformed from a church into a castle with permission from Perugia, marking a shift in its military significance.
The castle interior contains frescoes by painter Taddeo Zuccari, including decorations in the Chapel of San Giovanni Battista from the 16th century.
The castle underwent restoration work in 2005 and now functions as part of the Diocesan Museum network of Pieve del Vescovo.
The castle hosted the grand wedding celebration of military captain Biordo Michelotti and noblewoman Giovanna Orsini in June 1397.
