The library occupies a complex with a U-shaped structure surrounded by a 5,000 square meter park containing 17th century architectural remains.
The building originated in the 13th century as a Basilian Armenian monastery, recognized for its Baroque fountains still visible in the palace niches.
The library holds 10,000 volumes from philosopher Aldo Capitini's collection, including the original peace flag from the first Perugia-Assisi march in 1961.
The facility provides 100 reading seats, computer stations with internet access, interlibrary loans, and three meeting rooms accommodating 20 to 80 people.
The grounds include the Garden of Honests of the World, established in 2016, and serve as a center for peace studies, human rights, and interfaith dialogue.
