Fuseum

The Fuseum is a modern art museum in Perugia built within a forest setting of holm oaks and strawberry trees, displaying sculptures and artworks made from diverse materials. The collection spreads across multiple rooms with ceramic works, an artist's studio with original tools and materials, and a decorated retreat space with handcrafted furnishings.

The museum began when an artist donated his woodland property and works to a foundation, making his art accessible to the public for the first time. Years later, a cultural organization took over management and established regular access for visitors.

The place reflects an artistic philosophy that transforms recovered and natural materials into meaningful works, visible throughout the rooms where everyday objects gain new purpose. This approach shapes how visitors experience each space and understand the creator's relationship with his surroundings.

Wear comfortable shoes since the grounds are forest-covered and exploration happens on foot through natural terrain. Plan to move slowly between the different rooms and outdoor sections, as the layout is spread across the woodland.

One section holds a surprising collection of animal sculptures made from metal, iron, and papier-mâché, all crafted from salvaged waste and natural finds. These creatures reveal how the artist turned discarded materials into objects with personality and presence.
