Gesù e Maria, Baroque church on Via del Corso, Rome, Italy
The church exhibits a travertine facade designed by Carlo Rainaldi, with interior spaces decorated under the guidance of Giorgio Bolognetti, bishop of Rieti.
The construction of the church started in 1633 under architect Carlo Buzio, reaching completion in 1635 and receiving consecration to Jesus and Mary in 1636.
The main altar features a 1679 painting of the Coronation of the Virgin by Giacinto Brandi, while Giovanni Lanfranco created frescoes near the sacristy entrance.
The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest maintains the church since 1992, conducting regular Tridentine Mass services for the congregation.
The interior contains statues of Saint John the Baptist and Saint John Evangelist by Giuseppe Mazzuoli, alongside dedicated chapels for Saint Thomas of Villanova.
