The three-story building features arched doors and windows, decorated with numerous fragments of statues, sculptures, and archaeological elements on its facade.
Antonio Canova established this workshop in 1803 by purchasing small houses near Porto di Ripetta from the Augustinians of Santa Maria del Popolo.
The studio produced major works including Cupid and Psyche, The Three Graces, and Paolina Borghese, which are now displayed in museums across Europe.
Located at Via delle Colonnette 26, the building currently houses an architectural studio and a communications agency while remaining under private ownership.
The Italian State designated preservation status to the building in 1953, recognizing its importance as the workspace where Canova created his sculptures.
