San Benedetto, Renaissance church in Parma, Italy.

San Benedetto exhibits a single-nave structure with Renaissance and Neoclassical architectural elements designed by architect Bernardino Zaccagni in the 15th century.

The site's history began in 947 with a Benedictine monastery, leading to the church construction between 1491 and 1506 under Pellegrino da Pontremoli's guidance.

The interior of San Benedetto contains frescoes from 1759 by Antonio Bresciani and Gaetano Ghidetti, decorating several side altars within the church.

The church operates as part of the Istituto Salesiano, a high school managed by the Salesian order, located at Piazzale San Benedetto 3 in Parma.

Duke Ottavio Farnese transferred the monastery to the Gesuati order before it became a refuge for women in difficult situations in the late 16th century.
