Chiesa di Sant'Anna dei Pompetti is a church with three naves and a central apse that blends architectural elements from different periods, featuring Roman mosaic floors. Its structure reveals layers of building styles accumulated over centuries.

The church was originally dedicated to San Getulio in 1175 and stands atop the remains of a Roman house from the Byzantine period of the 6th century. This layering shows how Christianity took root at a site already inhabited in antiquity.

The church preserves frescoes spanning centuries and houses a statue of Saint Anne holding the Child Mary, a gift from the Pompetti family.

The church is located on Piazza Sant'Anna next to the Torre Bruciata and belongs to the Diocese of Teramo-Atri. Access is generally available, but check opening hours in advance since it serves as an active parish church.

Beneath the church floor, visible through glass panels, lies a mosaic from the Roman Republican period that creates a direct physical link between ancient and medieval building phases. This hidden layer tells the story of two civilizations at the same location.
