Church of Saint Francis

Construction of the church commenced in 1265 under architect Antonio Zurlengo, following the establishment of the Franciscan order in Brescia around 1220.

The church maintains regular visiting hours and continues to function as an active religious site, housing Franciscan monks within its monastery complex.

The church features a collection of 14th-century frescoes in its second chapel, including a Crucifixion piece dating from 1310 to 1320.
