Church of Saint John the Evangelist, Gothic church in Brescia, Italy
The church features three naves supported by pillars with floral capitals, alongside lateral chapels containing significant Renaissance artworks and frescoes.
Founded between 400 and 402 AD by Bishop Saint Gaudentius, the church underwent major reconstruction in 1440 with the addition of two cloisters.
The Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament displays paintings by Moretto and Romanino, created between 1521 and 1524 to illustrate biblical themes.
The church maintains regular opening hours and permits visitors to explore its interior spaces, Renaissance paintings, and architectural elements.
The church contains an organ from 1940, expanded in 1994, positioned on the left wall of the presbytery.
