Santissimo Sacramento

The Santissimo Sacramento church exhibits symmetrical proportions with a Latin cross layout and an octagonal dome crowning its central section.

The construction of the church began in 1538, with initial consecration in 1548, followed by major renovations between 1771 and 1776 by architect Francesco Ciaraffoni.

The interior features stucco statues of the apostles created by Gioacchino Varlè in 1775 and frescoes of the Four Evangelists by Francesco Podesti from 1880.

The church maintains its religious functions within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ancona-Osimo and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural elements.

Below the parish space, visitors can examine remains of an ancient Roman gymnasium that was discovered during archaeological investigations.
