Sant'Agostino Church, Former religious building in historical center of Genoa, Italy
The church features a stone facade with a central rose window, double mullioned windows, and bichrome stripes in white marble and blue stone.
Built in 1260, the Sant'Agostino Church represents one of the remaining Gothic structures in Genoa following the widespread demolitions during the nineteenth century.
The building hosted the Genoa Conservatory from 1928 to 1936 and currently serves as a performance venue for the Teatro della Tosse theatre company.
Located at coordinates 44.405°N and 8.93214°E, the church maintains its status as a national monument despite no longer functioning as a religious institution.
The interior space contains a nave with two aisles divided by ogival arches, supported by substantial columns topped with cubic capitals.
