Chiesa dell'Osservanza

The chiesa dell'Osservanza is a Gothic church in Cesena built with a brick facade and circular window, featuring a three-arch portico at Viale Osservanza 198. Inside, artworks such as the Madonna della Grazie and The Annunciation by Marcantonio Franceschini are displayed in the main hall for visitors to view.

Construction was ordered in 1438 after a military victory and was finally completed and consecrated in 1471. The lengthy building process reflects the importance this project held for the city.

This church served as a spiritual center for a monastic community that lived within its walls for centuries. Visitors can sense the role it played in the daily religious life of Cesena through its layout and decoration.
