Cima del Bonom

Cima del Bonom is a mountain summit in the Biellese Alps reaching 1,877 meters (6,160 feet) between Val Sessera and Valle Cervo in Piedmont. Multiple marked trails provide access to the peak, with popular starting points at Bocchetto Sessera and the Oriomosso hamlet.

A geodetic point was established on the mountain by the Italian Military Geographic Institute to support territorial mapping and survey work in the region. This survey marker reflects the historical importance of precise geographic data for managing alpine areas.

The mountain sits within the Oasi Zegna protected area, which reflects the region's deep commitment to environmental conservation. Visitors experience this conservation spirit directly through the well-maintained trails and natural surroundings.

The best hiking season runs from June through October when trails are dry and snow-free. Sturdy hiking boots and navigation skills are essential since mountain paths can be exposed and weather changes quickly in alpine terrain.

A distinctive rock formation called Punta Forata marks the approach to the main summit with natural stone outcrops. This feature serves as a visual landmark for hikers during the final stages of the climb.
