Duomo di Tolmezzo

The Cathedral of Saint Martin features a single nave design with stone reliefs from the 13th century adorning the exterior walls of the apse.

Construction of the current cathedral began in 1764 under architect Domenico Schiavi, replacing an earlier church documented since 1199 during Pope Innocent III's time.

The cathedral treasury contains sacred vessels donated by the Linussio family and Venetian goldsmith works, including an ornate ostensorium and reliquary.

The interior walls and ceiling display frescoes painted by Antonio Schiavi in 1761, depicting religious scenes throughout the nave.
