Duomo di Tolmezzo

The Duomo di Tolmezzo is a cathedral with a single-nave layout and an apse featuring stone carvings from the 13th century on its exterior. The interior walls and vaulted ceiling are adorned with frescoes that cover the main space in religious imagery.

The current structure was founded in 1764 by architect Domenico Schiavi, replacing an older church documented since 1199. This rebuilding came at a time when the region was transforming its religious architecture.
