Tagliata della Scala, Military fort in Primolano, Italy.

The Tagliata della Scala fort stands at 400 meters elevation and features three distinct levels connected by a substantial covered corridor system.

Built between 1892 and 1895, the fortification served as a control point for the Primolano-Fastro-Monte Sorist routes until its abandonment in November 1916.

The fort represents late 19th-century Italian military architecture with its strategic placement controlling movement through the Brenta and Cismon valleys.

Visitors can explore the underground and ground floor levels, accessing the fort through a path that leads to several arches and porticoes.

A remarkable caponiera connects the lower and upper forts via a long staircase containing 206 steps and multiple firing positions.
