Europark Idroscalo Milano, Amusement park in Novegro, Segrate, Italy
Europark Idroscalo Milano is an amusement park in Segrate, just east of Milan, with over 35 rides and attractions spread across its grounds. The offer covers roller coasters, bumper cars, water slides, a Ferris wheel, go-karts, a bowling alley, and a laser game arena.
The park opened in 1965 under the name Lunapark Milano, running on a seasonal basis from the start. In 2004 it was redesigned and renamed Europark Milano Idroscalo, taking the shape it has today.
The park sits next to the Idroscalo, an artificial lake east of Milan that locals use for swimming and water sports in summer. On warm days, many visitors combine a ride session with time spent at the lakeside, making it a full-day outing.
The park is open on weekends throughout the year and every day from March through September. Arriving early helps avoid longer queues that tend to build up on weekend afternoons.
The Super Frisbee ride swings riders up to about 100 feet (30 meters) and is one of the few rides of its kind in the Lombardy region. The park is also one of the rare amusement parks in Italy built right alongside a lake, which shapes the whole feeling of the site.
