National Museum, Locri

The museum opened in 1971 as Antiquarium di Locri and gained national museum status in 1998 due to the importance of its archaeological collection. This development reflects growing recognition of the region's ancient treasures.

The building incorporates Casino Macrì, a private structure from the 18th century that preserves original Roman-era structures within it. This blend allows visitors to experience history layered across different periods in one space.
