Donizetti Museum, Musical museum in Bergamo, Italy.
The Donizetti Museum displays an extensive collection of scores, letters, portraits, and personal belongings from the renowned composer Gaetano Donizetti's life.
In 1902, the Rota Basoni family donated the composer's possessions to establish this museum, including furniture from his final room and an 1848 portrait.
The exhibition follows five chronological stages, from the 1897 celebrations through Donizetti's studies, early career, opera compositions, and personal life.
Museum visits occur Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 to 13:00, with weekend hours extending to 18:00, at an entrance fee of 5 euros.
The museum contains multimedia stations where visitors can listen to Donizetti's compositions while examining his original handwritten music scores.
