Palazzo Roccabruna is a Renaissance palace in the heart of Trento near Piazza Duomo, featuring sixteenth-century frescoes, wooden ceilings, and an educational kitchen housed in a former stable. The spaces display the architecture and furnishings of a noble residence from that era.
The palace was built in the second half of the sixteenth century as a noble residence and was later restored by the Chamber of Commerce of Trento. This restoration work prepared the building for its current use.
The building houses the Provincial Enoteca of Trentino, showcasing over 600 regional wine bottles that reflect the importance of viticulture to local life. Visitors can explore this collection and understand how wine ties to Trentino traditions.
The building is open on certain days and offers tasting experiences featuring regional wines. A visit pairs well with a stroll through the neighboring historic center.
The former stable was converted into a modern teaching space where local chefs reinterpret Trentino recipes. This shows how traditional spaces serve contemporary culinary practices today.
