Palacio Ziino, Palazzo museum in central Palermo, Italy.

Palacio Ziino is a neoclassical residence in central Palermo with a grand entrance hall and a sweeping Carrara marble staircase. The noble floor contains spacious rooms that served both as living quarters and as display space for artworks.

Architect Nunzio Ziino designed the building for lawyer Ottavio Ziino's family, and it opened in 1895. The construction took place during a period when Palermo was developing new neoclassical residential buildings.

The noble floor displays about 70 plaster sculptures from the Civica Gallery, featuring works by Sicilian artists that reflect the region's artistic heritage. The rooms show how wealthy families incorporated art collections into their daily living spaces.

The building is located on Via Dante in the city center and is accessible during daytime hours on most weekdays but closes on Mondays. Visitors should allow time to explore both the staircase and the sculpture collections displayed throughout.

The interior preserves original stuccowork by Rocco Lentini and elaborate ceiling paintings by Ernesto Padovano that showcase the craftsmanship of the late 1800s. These decorative details have rarely survived as completely as they have here.
