Monti Lessini: Cascate di Molina

Monti Lessini: Cascate di Molina is a protected natural park with several waterfalls flowing through limestone rock formations and creating emerald-colored pools. The waterfalls form from natural springs that run through the area year-round.

The natural park formed millions of years ago when rocks and minerals were deposited under water and later exposed to the surface. Over time, water and weather shaped the landscape into the waterfall scenes you see today.

The village of Molina keeps traditional houses with red limestone roofs that reflect how people built homes in this region. Walking through its narrow streets, you notice these distinctive roofs everywhere, giving the place its local character.

The park has marked trails at different difficulty levels, so visitors can choose different routes based on their pace and abilities. It is best to wear hiking shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.

The park is home to rare bat species like the Greater horseshoe bat, which lives in the caves and protected areas of the reserve. These bats are active at night and play an important role in the local ecosystem.
