Riserva naturale Laguna di Orbetello

The Riserva naturale Laguna di Orbetello is a protected saltwater lagoon area in Tuscany with extensive wetland habitat along the coast. Observation platforms and walking paths allow visitors to move through different sections while viewing the landscape.

Large flocks of pink flamingos arrive in winter and gather across the waters creating striking visual displays. Few visitors expect to find these exotic birds in a Mediterranean lagoon.
