Riserva naturale Montagna di Torricchio

The Montagna di Torricchio Reserve extends across 317 hectares of protected land between Monte Fema, Monte Cetrognola, and Monte Torricchio mountains.

The reserve was established in 1977 following its donation by Marquis Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who served as president of WWF Italy.

The University of Camerino manages scientific research at Casale Piscini, documenting the reserve's biodiversity through extensive publications and studies.

Access to the reserve requires authorization from management and visits are restricted to research and educational purposes through the S.S. 209 road.

The reserve contains 789 plant species from 81 families, including specialized taxa such as Viola eugeniae and Gentianella columnae in its protected environment.
