Archaeological remains of Kamarina necropolis exist within the forest boundaries, connecting natural heritage with ancient Sicilian settlements.

The forest contains numerous paths through Mediterranean vegetation, including pine trees, holm oaks, cypress trees, myrtle bushes, and eucalyptus specimens.

The domain combines coastal elements with forest ecosystems, where pine woods directly border sandy beaches along the Mediterranean shoreline.
