Torre Cabrera, 16th-century coastal watchtower in Marina di Ragusa, Italy.
Torre Cabrera stands at 28 meters tall with three floors and features Gothic architectural elements including ribbed vaults and three-light windows.
Built between 1584 and 1596 under the direction of Don Ludovico Enriquez-Cabrera, the tower served as a defense point against Ottoman raids.
The tower represents the military architecture of Sicily's coastal defense system, which included numerous watchtowers along the Mediterranean shore.
Located at coordinates 36.783038, 14.554465, the tower maintains its original structure and provides access for visitors to explore its historical features.
On June 14, 1606, Barbary pirates attacked the tower and captured its warden during a raid on Sicilian ships near Porri.
