Teatro Tendastrisce was a performance venue in eastern Rome built from large tent-like structures that could hold roughly 6,500 people, with around 2,500 seated positions. The facility offered air conditioning, a bar, cloakroom services, and parking for guests attending events.
The venue opened in 1977 with a concert by Antonello Venditti and became a destination for performers from around the world. A fire in 2016 caused substantial damage, and the site closed permanently in 2017.
The venue hosted performances by international artists including Ray Charles, Tina Turner, B.B. King, Joe Cocker, James Brown, and Eric Clapton throughout its operational years.
