Teatro la Nuova Fenice is an opera house in Osimo with a horseshoe-shaped auditorium arranged across three levels of boxes and a gallery. The space holds roughly 440 spectators distributed across the stalls and upper areas.
The current building was designed by architect Gaetano Canedi between 1887 and 1892, replacing an earlier theater from 1773. The original structure was demolished in 1885 due to safety concerns.
The space displays decorative details with floral and geometric patterns that reflect local artistic traditions. These ornamental elements remain part of the daily experience for anyone who sits in the auditorium.
The theater sits at Piazza Marconi 1 and sells tickets online for its performances. You can book in advance from home and then arrive for your chosen show.
The venue preserves a historical curtain created in 1870 by scenographer Alfonso Goldini. This piece served the house for 70 years before being carefully preserved.
