Teatro La Fenice, Opera theatre in Senigallia, Italy

Teatro La Fenice is a neoclassical building located in central Senigallia that features the characteristic design of a traditional Italian opera house. The interior holds approximately 874 seats arranged across multiple tiers and displays the typical architectural style of 19th-century Italian theatres.

The first municipal theatre, designed by Pietro Ghinelli, was commissioned on 3 September 1828, begun on 18 October 1828 and finished in July 1830 at a cost of 19,221 scudi. It burned down on the night of 9 August 1838 after a performance of Bidera's La battaglia di Navarino, and the council voted four days later to rebuild. The replacement, called La Fenice, opened about eleven months later; the 1930 earthquake closed it, and a new theatre opened on the same site on 5 December 1996.

The theatre serves as a cultural hub where opera, classical music, and theatrical productions shape the artistic life of the city. Visitors can experience the traditions of Italian musical theatre firsthand within its walls.

During the reconstruction after the 1930 earthquake, work uncovered the crossing of two main streets of the Roman Sena Gallica. The finds are displayed outdoors in the Area archeologica la Fenice, created beneath the modern theatre, which was built at today's street level and inaugurated on 5 December 1996.
